Qualifying under HUD rules is the first big step toward securing subsidized housing. Please read our five-step application process below and ask us if you have questions. We're here to help!

Step 1: Browse through our list of Danville-managed properties to see which properties are best suited to your needs and are located where you want to live.

Step 2: Download the PDF version of the application (available to the left). Then print the application and fill it out completely, indicating which property you are applying for. You may apply for more than one property but you must submit a separate application for each property.

Step 3: Send your completed application by U.S. mail, fax it or hand-deliver it to the property address listed on the property's detail page herein. Once the property manager receives your completed application, he or she will make an initial determination of eligibility based on your information.

Step 4: After a determination of elgibility is made, the property manager will send you a letter indicating your application status. Each property maintains its own wait list and your name will be placed on the appropriate list(s) if it appears you are eligible.

Step 5: Please be patient. Most of our properties are filled to capacity. If you've been approved and you are on a wait list, we will contact you when space becomes available and set up a meeting at that time to sign required documents that allow us to conduct a background screening check and verify eligibility and other programmatic information.

Notes: • Eligible residents pay 30% of their adjusted income toward rent and utilities.  Eligibility requirements are listed on the application.

• Feel free to check in with us, or with the on-site property manager for updates, and be sure to update us of any address or phone number changes you may have.

• Our two properties for people with disabilities--Graham Court and Providence--both require special applications (available here and on the property's details pages).
